Oh yes, this week’s inspiration is the ballerina!

Is it the graceful body? The delicate tutus? The dewy skin and soft eyes of a ballerina that make her so alluring? This is one style that is here to stay – ballet-inspired clothes and makeup are wearable in every season and look good on everyone!

And of course, we can’t wear a pancake tutu (see the photo above) on the bus, but we can incorporate touches of the ballet into our looks everyday!

Clockwise from top left: Low ballerina bun at Nina Ricci, Tasha crystal headband, NARS eyeshadow in Nepal, Betsey Johnson dress, Betsey Johnson tutu skirt, Chloe ballet flats.

The ballerina bun is easy and quick, and also a great way of showing off your collarbones and neck this spring. For a less severe look, wear it at the nape instead of the crown.

At the moment I’m especially loving the sheer, natural makeup that ballerinas wear – it’s all about the inner glow and sheer washes of pink on the lips and cheeks. When I think ‘ballerina beauty’, I think of Kate Bosworth.

How pretty is that? Hope you’re looking forward to a relaxing and productive weekend!
